Cookie policy

The short version

This site sets no cookies for tracking or advertising and stores nothing in your browser for those purposes. That is why there is no cookie banner. One measurement script runs (Cloudflare Web Analytics), and you can switch it off below.

What runs in your browser

• The calculators run as small scripts on the page. They do not store your inputs anywhere; if you close the page, the numbers are gone unless you copied a share link. Your household income is only added to a share link when you press “Copy a link”.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics runs a small script that reads basic information from your browser, such as the page address, how fast the page loaded and the type of device, so we can count visits and make the site faster. It stores nothing on your device, uses no cookies and does not identify you. We use it only to understand and improve this site, under the exception in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations for statistics about how a website is used, and we do not share the data except with Cloudflare, which processes it for us. You can turn it off at any time with the button under this list, or by blocking static.cloudflareinsights.com in your browser. Turning it off stores one small setting in your browser so that we remember your choice; that setting is strictly necessary for honouring it. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as turning analytics off.
• Cloudflare’s hosting network may set a security cookie (named __cf_bm or cf_clearance) on rare occasions when it needs to check that a visitor is not an automated attack. These cookies are strictly necessary for the site to work and do not track you across sites.

What we do not run

No Google Analytics, no Facebook or other advertising pixels, no embedded social media widgets, no A/B testing tools, no session recording.

If this changes

If we ever add a tool that needs to store information on your device for anything other than making the site work, we will add a consent banner that lets you refuse as easily as you can accept, and we will update this page first.
